Other fun things to see & do in Annapolis!
Downtown Annapolis is beautiful, and is home to many historical spots (did you know it was the temporary capital of the United States from 1783-84?) The Maryland State House in Annapolis, shown here, is the oldest operational state house in the country.
It is also home to Beth's favorite ice cream spot, Storm Bros Ice Cream Factory next to Ego Alley downtown. As a kid, Beth's dad Don would take her and her sister Staci to get ice cream and take a stroll along the Naval Academy's rock wall every Wednesday night, one of Beth's very favorite childhood memories.
There are many great, fun restaurants and bars downtown Annapolis, including Middleton's Tavern, McGarvey's, Rams Head Tavern, etc.
They have all been there for ages and are staples of the downtown Annapolis scene.
...and you can't come to Annapolis and miss the CRABS! May will be the beginning of the summer crab season, so you should be sure to enjoy the local food of choice! Don't worry, we'll feature plenty of Annapolis crabs at the various events.
If you want to venture out on your own, the best place to get great crabs is Cantler's. You'll get the full experience (you can see the crabs coming in from the water)! If you're in town on Thursday night, join us for the Cantler's experience (6:30pm, please email Beth @ beth.bafford@gmail.com if you'd like to come).
